implants and bridges
Dental Implants
If you’re self-conscious about missing teeth, wear uncomfortable dentures, or want to avoid removing healthy tooth structure for a bridge, dental implants may be an excellent solution for you. Talk with Dr. Rachael Creisher to see if implants are right for your smile.
Dental implants are a modern, long-term option for replacing missing teeth and are designed to look, feel, and function just like natural teeth. The implant itself—a small post made of biocompatible titanium—is surgically placed by one of our trusted oral surgery specialists, where it integrates with the jawbone to create a strong, stable foundation for a new restoration.
Once the implant has healed, Dr. Creisher restores the implant by designing and placing a custom crown, bridge, or denture that blends seamlessly with your natural teeth. In some cases, when appearance is a concern, a temporary crown may be provided for aesthetic purposes during the healing phase. Otherwise, the final restoration is placed once the implant has fully integrated and is ready to support the permanent tooth.
Dental implants are considered one of the greatest advances in modern dentistry, offering unmatched comfort, stability, and longevity. If you are in good general health, implants may be an excellent option for you. Dr. Creisher will evaluate your oral health, discuss your goals, and coordinate your treatment closely with our team of specialists to ensure the best possible outcome.
Dental Bridges
If you’re missing one or more teeth, you may notice changes in chewing, speaking, or overall comfort. A dental bridge can restore your smile by filling the gap left by missing teeth and preventing nearby teeth from shifting out of place.
Sometimes called a fixed partial denture, a bridge replaces missing teeth with artificial ones that are securely attached to neighboring teeth or to dental implants. Bridges can be made from porcelain, gold, alloys, or a combination of materials to match your natural smile and support your bite. Unlike removable dentures, a fixed bridge stays in place and can only be removed by a dentist.
Depending on your needs, Dr. Creisher may recommend a traditional or implant-supported bridge. The success of any bridge depends on the health of the surrounding teeth and gums, so maintaining excellent oral hygiene and regular dental visits is key to long-term success.
